That being said, with the final update for Prologue bringing the selection of cars up to 76, it was hardly lacking on that front. That’s despite a much smaller selection of cars and tracks in comparison to other titles in the Gran Turismo series.

Small wonder that it sold 5.2 million copies, placing it firmly in the top 10 best selling PS3 games. Plus the Titans are notably being bigger than the size of entire stages in other games! The gameplay, visuals, music and even the sense of scale in God of War III all meant that this was a fitting, satisfying and bombastic send off for the Greek era in God of War games. God of War III was released to universal acclaim, with the gory, hard-hitting third-person action being just as well received by players as the previous titles in the franchise. The sequel, simply titled God of War, arrived in 2018 on the PlayStation 4 and shifted the focus of the series to Norse mythology. This PlayStation 3 title is the last of the God of War games to focus on Greek mythology.
